ProPrint Webcast: Can the Indonesian pulp and paper industry be sustainable?

Based in the heart of one of the most challenging parts of the world, Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) has emerged as a major global player in the pulp and paper industry in recent years but it continues to be the focus of criticism by western NGOs concerned about deforestation in Indonesia. Among the allegations are that it engages in environmentally destructive forestry practices, has cleared vast tracts of forest and is destroying the habitat of endangered species.

APP says that it is committed beyond compliance to sustainable production.

In a landmark interview, watch ProPrint editor Steve Crowe put Aida Greenbury, Director of Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement at APP, in the hotseat for a live and interactive global webcast in which the audience was invited to air their own questions and concerns about forestry in Indonesia.
